Golden Globes: Best Dressed

Fresh from a night of glamour, tears and awards, the Golden Globes had its fair share of fashion hits and misses.

Kate Winslet might have stole the night by scooping two top awards, but we're more excited about what our favourite celebrities were wearing on the red carpet.

Heavy weight stars like Angelina Jolie, Renee Zellweger and Jennifer Lopez all put on their latest designer gowns, but who will be named best dressed?

Here is our top three outfits from the night.

Firstly we have Dark Knight actress, Maggie Gyllenhaal who looked fantastic in a turquoise cat-paw print gown by Larvin. Teamed with a simple clutch bag and demure heels, also by Larvin, the dress really suited her glowing complexion.

The fitted belt cinched into her waist and showed off Maggie's great figure. She chose to accessorise simply with this seasons must-have drop earrings, which left the print of the dress to make the statement. The asymmetrical dress is also a top trend for 2009, making this outfit overall a great look for the red carpet.

Next on our best dressed list is actress, Cameron Diaz who glowed in a Chanel Haute Couture dress. The bright pink taffeta dress was accessorised with a clutch bag and jewellery also by Chanel. Cameron's LA tan, honey blonde hair and bright blue eyes really set this dress off.

There were many dresses on the red carpet which featured this season's must-have style of the one strap, and we think it perfectly suites Cameron's petite frame. The colour and style of the dress make a statement, which means Cameron's flowing curls and red lip add a minimal touch of elegance.

Finally, we have our top outfit to be seen on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. The coveted top spot on the list goes to Angelina Jolie, who dazzled in a sparkly Atelier Versace gown. The Changaling actress paired her dress with Jimmy Choo Satin Sandals and accessorised with platinum jewels by Neil Lane. The look created by style genius Jennifer Rade, was a real hit on the red carpet.

The simple gown which was split to the thigh, showed off her legs and the nipped in waist to hid her post-pregnancy tummy. The star looked fantastic and her outfit was sure to leave many other stars on the carpet jealous. Tops marks to Angelina!
