If we needed any further proof that sequins are back on trend we got it in the form of the beautiful Helena Christensen.

The supermodel gave the trend the A list seal of approval when she wore this Stella McCartney dress to the 12th Annual ACE Awards in New York this month.

Helena bucked the colour trend for sequins choosing nude colour sparkles instead of the usual black, silver or gold. The colour worked well against her tanned complexion and chestnut brown hair.

She kept her accessories within the colour scheme carrying a beige clutch and wearing heels with nude coloured panels. Nude shoes are known for their leg lengthening properties, not that the 5'9½" lady needs any help in that department.

Helena let her dress be the focus and kept jewellery to a minimum with just a gold bracelet.

When you wear for sequins though take a leaf out of Helena's book and remember to keep accessories to a minimum to keep all eyes on your fabulous dress.
