Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank is to launch her own athletic fashion collection.

The Oscar-winning actress has teamed up with the DMA Designers Management Agency to develop a concept for an apparel range with an athletic bend.

According to WWD, DMA co-founder Marc Beckman said Hilary and originally thought about a T-shirt line that "provided motivation and inspiration" but because of her background as a gymnast, she wanted it to have a more sporty feel.

He added: "Our platform is a contemporary, outdoor, ath-leisure brand."

Hilary and the agency will be interviewing fashion designers to work with the star on the collection.

While she is set to design her own fashion range, earlier this year Hilary admitted to being on a mission to find lots of dresses to wear to the premieres of her film 'Conviction'.

Speaking in July, she said: "I have a movie opening called 'Conviction' next month so I have a lot of dresses I need to find. I've just been introduced to Pamella Roland and I'm excited to always learn about new designers."
