Hugh Grant loves buying women shoes.

The 'Did You Hear About The Morgans?' star - who is often voted one of the world's most eligible bachelors - gets a thrill when he goes into designer stores to purchase footwear because he knows it impresses the opposite sex.

He said: "I like to shop with girls. Buying them shoes, being spoiled by the girls in Chanel when they try things on - I love it."

Hugh, 49, also revealed his dad refuses to wear appropriate clothes when he works out in the gym.

He told the USA Today newspaper: "I play golf with him once a week, and he was puffing and panting. He was very unfit. I sent him to my very expensive trainer. He hasn't been to a gym since 1961. He didn't even have any gym clothes. We bought him some online. After two visits, he refused to wear them anymore and said, 'They're nonsense.' Now, he goes to the gym in corduroy trousers, a shirt and a cravat, I promise you. He's there, walking along on the machine."
