Joel Madden loves Nicole Richie's style.

The Good Charlotte rocker says he is expecting his partner's new clothing line, Winter Kate, to do well when it goes on sale next February because the socialite has an eye for what looks good.

He told People magazine: "I love Nicole's style. She's the coolest person I've ever met, and she doesn't try at all.

"Her clothing line is what she wears - bohemian rock and roll, hippie, sexy and comfortable clothes for women. It's cool, but it's not forced."

Nicole - who has two children, Harlow, 21 months, and Sparrow, one month, with Joel - says she took a real hands-on approach with the range, which will be sold through website my-wardrobe.com.

She said: "I designed everything and picked the materials and prints. I put my heart and soul into it.

Fashion should be accessible,. That was my philosophy when designing House of Harlow 1960, and it remains my philosophy for Winter Kate.

"I started working on this collection in early 2009. The pieces can be dressed up, made casual, but most importantly, they provide the wearer a means of self-expression and fun."
