Kate Moss is to launch a range of bags for accessories label Longchamp.

The supermodel - who designs a range of clothes for British high street store Topshop - will create two capsule collections for the brand, with possible plans to collaborate every year.

A source said: "Kate is looking forward to the release of her work. She loves working with Topshop, but this high-fashion range will really prove her design credibility."

Kate is looking forward to the release of her work. She loves working with Topshop, but this high-fashion range will really prove her design credibility.

Kate - whose range will be available next month - has previously modelled for Longchamp and in 2007 helped "add the final design touches" to the brand's Legend bag.

Longchamp has previously worked with British artist Tracey Emin on its bag ranges.

Kate recently claimed that she was tired of being a model and enjoyed doing more creative work.

She said: "I like modelling. I still love creating images, but I think after doing it for as long as I have, it can get a little samey...It's much more inspiring to get up in the morning and not have to go and sit in a chair and get your make-up done."
