Louise Roe has warned women not to overdo the glitter over the festive period.

Fake tan is definitely a no-no for Christmas and now people like Lady Gaga are making a lot more fashionable to be pale. Even Cheryl Cole has toned down her tan.

The fashion stylist knows ladies have a tendency to go a little crazy with the sparkle when going to Christmas parties and gatherings but advises to only wear it on one area of the face.

Speaking at The Clothes Show Live at Birmingham's NEC Arena, Louise told BANG Showbiz: "The biggest mistake women make is wearing too much glitter. Over the festive season, having some sparkle is a bit of fun but be careful not to overdo. Just stick to either eyes, lips or cheeks and then you don't run the risk of looking like a Christmas tree!"

Louise also says women should lay off the fake tan over Christmas as celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Cheryl Cole are now making it more acceptable to have paler skin.
