Margherita Missoni didn't think taking on the role of accessories designer at the Missoni label was a risk, because it didn't matter if she failed.
Margherita Missoni didn't worry about "f***ing up" at her family's fashion house.
The 27 year old insists she was happy to take on the role of accessories designer at Missoni - which was founded by her grandparents - because it didn't carry the pressure that comes with creating the "main collection".
She said: "I thought, since it wasn't the main collection, if I f**k up it's not going to be disastrous.
We have different styles, I wouldn't make the same clothes that my mum made, or my grandma, but we have the same taste. So I'm confident in saying that I will be good for them, but I could probably be really s**t for someone else!
"I always felt it was a shame that we didn't develop the accessories considering that for most fashion brands it is the biggest side of their business.' Now she has designed the sunglasses for this year's spring/summer collection and has worked on all the accessories for the autumn/winter collection.
And although Margherita says she has a different style to her mother Angela - the firm's creative director - and grandmother, she can't imagine working for any label other than Missoni.
She explained to the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "We have different styles, I wouldn't make the same clothes that my mum made, or my grandma, but we have the same taste. So I'm confident in saying that I will be good for them, but I could probably be really s**t for someone else!"
