Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama

Forget all the ludicrously over the top security and the G-20 summit, all we're really interested in is the First Lady of style herself, Michelle Obama.

Michelle, along with husband Barack jetted into the UK last night, and from what we've seen so far, she's undoubtedly living up to her stylish reputation.

The fashion icon boarded Air Force One in an ivory tweed custom-made Thakoon coat, Michael Kors dress and a pair of gorgeous Jimmy Choo 'Jade' heels, according to CatwalkQueen, as she prepared to depart the U.S.

We were big fans of this look, as it was simple, chic and elegant; all the things Michelle herself has become associated with over the past few months.

The only thing we didn't like was the big purple flower brooch she chose to customise her coat with, as it just didn't seem to go with the rest of her look. We loved the pearls though, oh-so on trend, Michelle!

As if one stylish outfit wasn't enough, when she touched down in the UK, our favourite First Lady had changed into a florescent yellow dress and black coat.

We were unsurprised to hear that her hot yellow dress was by none other than Jason Wu, as she continues sampling some of the young designer's work. In our view it was even better than the Inauguration dress, and that's saying something.

What we love about Michelle is that she's unafraid experiment with colour, and this was the perfect choice for a youthful and fun First Lady.

The V-neck detailing, paired with a daring three-quarter length Michael Kors coat was smart, yet not too reserved, which is what we've come to expect from Michelle and her wardrobe recently.

She completed the look with a very Carrie Bradshaw-esque studded black belt by Azzedine Alaia, which leaves us to wonder how the heck she's going to top this stylish debut over the next few days...
