Michelle Obama has apparently been spotted ordering a Boden catalogue, according to new reports.
Now, while this in itself isn't really that interesting, it's the reactions of the fashion ed's, which really make this news quite amusing.
As The Telegraph's Genevieve Fox notes, she is concerned Michelle "might blot her sartorial copybook by sporting pieces that transform her from sharp First Lady whose wardrobe brilliantly mixes attitude and restraint, with just a hint of luxe thrown in, to Sloaney Pony or its American equivalent, Peppy Prepster." Right...
We can't really imagine anyone else causing this kind of sensation over a style catalogue, but then again, this is Michelle Obama we're talking about here.
Whatever fashion move she makes is watched and analysed to the point where nothing is private, everyone knows who designed her togs and more importantly, where to get them.
No wonder she can't wear the same outfit twice, just think of the headlines...
