Oscar-nominated actress Naomi Watts has been announced as the face of the new Ann Taylor campaign.

Naomi Watts has been chosen as the face of the Ann Taylor clothing.

The 41-year-old actress follows Heidi Klum and Milla Jovovich as the celebrity face of the American brand.

The Oscar nominated star - who has sons Alexander, two, and Kai, 18 months, with long-term partner Liev Schreiber - will feature in the advertising campaign for the Fall 2010 collection from September.

In my everyday life, I don't wear make-up because I can't apply it! And the same goes for my hair - it's always just in a ponytail.

Famed photographer Peter Lindbergh - who also shot the brand's campaigns for Heidi and Milla - took the pictures, which will appear in publications such as Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair and Vogue.

The Australian beauty - who is normally seen with her hair scraped back and in casual clothes as she plays with her sons - has previously said that she never wears make-up unless she is filming or appearing in a photoshoot, because she has never learnt how to apply it properly herself.

She said: "In my everyday life, I don't wear make-up because I can't apply it! And the same goes for my hair - it's always just in a ponytail."
