Gary Barlow might be good at organising various charity events, but it looks like he’s adding party planner to his resume after rumours have emerged that he is to organise British monarch Queen Elizabeth II's 85th birthday party.

Gary will be planning the shindig and the 2012 Diamond Jubilee celebrations after royal aides requested his help after he successfully arranging several concerts for charity Children In Need at London's Royal Albert Hall and organising a celebrity climb up Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief.

Barlow has already had a meeting with aides to the Queen, who turns the landmark age next April, to discuss how to mark her birthday, as well as another bash the following year to celebrate her 60 years on the throne.

A source tells the publication, "Gary's got the power to pull in some big names and ensure it's a party to match the occasion. The timing means he can get the ball rolling early and start ringing his contacts."
