The stars all came out to shine at last night's 35th Annual People's Choice Awards in LA but who were the fashion winners and losers?

Some of our favourite celebs pulled on their best party frocks and braved the cold to attend the awards from Reese Witherspoon to Paris Hilton.

Our choice for favourite outfit of the night goes to Debra Messing. The Will and Grace star looked fabulous in this puffball number. The grey colour makes a nice change from black and the shape creates curves on the usually skinny actress.

Debra has accessorised well with leg lengthening nude heels, a cute envelope style clutch bag and a great chunky bracelet. We love the drop gold earrings and they, combined with her sophisticated up-do draw attention to her face.

Reese Witherspoon showed how a simple little black dress can be a girls best friend. It's not as showy as some of the other outfits on show but Reese looks great in it. The V neck shape created by the straps and the tiered detail stops the outfit from looking too boring.

The peep toe heels are cute but could be higher. Although Reese looks great she could do with a few more accessories such as a stack of bangles or a clutch bag. However she has brought the ultimate accessory with her, an award for favourite Female Movie Star.

Paris Hilton went for an all out girlie look in this flowery white dress. Teamed with Princess style curls Paris seems to be going for the demure look but instead looks like a 6 foot tall five year old. We know you want to look all sweetness and light Paris but you'd be a lot better off dressing your age. We do like the gold sequined shoes though!

Singer Carrie Underwood ensured all eyes were on her in this bright orange sparkly outfit.

The multi coloured beading is just too garish but without it the orange dress would be quite nice. It gives a nice shape and allows Carrie to flash her gorgeous tanned legs. We like her up do, it makes a nice change from Hollywood's usual tousled curls look. The shoes are great too. Carrie has also gone for gold but keeps it different with a criss-cross effect.

With outfits like this so early in the awards season we can't wait to see what Hollywood has in store for us next!
