Sarah Jessica Parker turned down an offer to be a shoe designer.
The 'Sex and the City' actress - whose alter-ego Carrie Bradshaw has an obsession with fancy footwear - admits she has been asked to create a line but it isn't something she is interested in.
I have been approached but, at this point, it's not something I think I'm suited to.
She said: "I have been approached but, at this point, it's not something I think I'm suited to."
Although the mother-of-three - who has her own perfume and fashion range - has no plans to move into shoe designing, she was recently named as the president of coveted US label Halston as well as being made the company's chief creative officer.
She said of her appointment: "I think this is a brand new kind of business model, and it illustrates how serious I am about this position. I think it's wonderful to feel invested in something I tend not to just endorse something. I like feeling the stakes."
The 44-year-old star admitted that while she doesn't have the traditional qualifications to run a company, she insists she'll bring in different qualities.
She said: "I'll bring good manners, a point of view that is inspiring, that is hopefully smart, and an incredible passion and excitement and enthusiasm, as well as some experience of what I know about women, that having been pretty much the focus of my role in 'Sex and the City'."
