Victoria Beckham is happy to "suffer" in high-heeled shoes.

The former Spice Girls star-turned-fashion designer rarely steps out in public wearing flat footwear, despite admitting she is never comfortable in her favourite shoes.

She told America's Glamour magazine: "Absolutely heels make my feet hurt. Absolutely! I'm not going to lie. But no pain, no gain, as they say. I don't mind. I will suffer. I don't wear heels every day, but when I'm out, that's how I feel confident."

I beyond hate ballerina flats. I can't walk in them. Unless they're on a ballet dancer doing ballet, I just don't get it. I love heels.

Victoria - who is married to soccer player David Beckham - has previously revealed her hatred of flat shoes.

She said: "I beyond hate ballerina flats. I can't walk in them. Unless they're on a ballet dancer doing ballet, I just don't get it. I love heels."

The 35-year-old star - who was pictured barefoot earlier this week revealing she has bunions, a condition where the big toe becomes misshapen and is often caused by wearing high-heeled shoes - has also admitted her feet are her least favourite body part.

She said: "I hate my feet - they are the most disgusting thing about me."
