After you've had your life, love and fortune forecasted for the year ahead, we thought it was high-time to make some fashion predictions of our own, using our favourite celebrities as prime examples.
Capricorns are known for being practical and ambitious and say it exactly how it is. This translates nicely into how you would want to dress and feel each day, as each thing in your wardrobe will make some form of statement to the world.
For example, Kate Moss is the ultimate queen of style and is the trend leader, not follower. Her fashion sense is timeless, only updating each season with a piece or two, which is instantly hailed as genius.
Her wardrobe may be filled with vast goodies, but if you notice closely she wears the same things again and again, only updating her look occasionally with a new coat, scarf or belt.
The good news is that you can do this too, as this year is all about the 3 R's: Recycling, Reusing and Reinventing. So make like Kate and rummage in the back of your wardrobe for hidden goodies and you too could be proclaimed as fashion forward this year.
Kate Bosworth and Kate Middleton are also coming into their own this year in terms of fashion. Maybe it's a Kate thing, but these two stylish ladies along with Mossy rarely put a fashion foot wrong.
Funnily enough however, Sienna Miller who is also a Capricorn and Kate Moss' arch rival is also something of a trendsetter.
Could we have found the secret to great style? Being a Capricorn certainly seems to open some fashion doors for these celebs, maybe it will give us a much needed boost too.
Another thing certainly representative of Kate and Capricorns is that she is certainly practical and ambitious, but does it in such a way that she looks almost unaffected by it all.
That said sometimes lacking confidence and self-esteem can hold you and your potential back. We all have mornings where we wake up and feel down in the dumps about anything from our figure, to the colour of our hair.
What needs to be focused on in the year ahead is challenging these misconceived 'flaws' and being more positive about our attitude to fashion, health and beauty.
Fashion needn't be daunting if you know what's stylish and where to shop, same with the latest beauty and hair trends; keep an eye out for what's hot and figure out if it's right for you, if so go for it and pull of your new look with confidence.
Capricorns also supposedly have a tendency to be emotionally cool at times, but that's not to say they aren't trusting. In fact they are reportedly some of the best judges of character out there.
Marilyn Manson, also a fellow Capricorn, definitely translates this in his cool, edgy fashion sense. Let's face it, no other person in the world looks like him, and we're sure he has to judge people carefully before letting others into his lifestyle.
He comes across as very 'cool' when making public appearances, but this could all be a facade, as presumably he doesn't go to bed each night in a full face of make-up.
In a way, we all put on a face when we get up, go to work, go out with friends etc. and this is reflected in what fashion choices we make. For example, safe and predictably smart for work, edgy and fun for nights out on the pull, and probably snuggly and cute PJs for going to bed.
For 2009 we should try and shake things up a bit and not put on so much of a front. It's important to be yourself whatever situation you find yourself in, and fashion can be instrumental in helping you do that.
