Preparing to walk the Oscars red carpet is no easy task, and on Sunday A-list stars spent hours getting ready for the biggest night in the Hollywood calendar. From the hair, and makeup to the gown and jewellery, every little detail must be perfect.
But while in the past these preparations have usually been kept secret, thanks to Instagram more stars than ever were giving a sneak peek at the getting ready process on Sunday, showing that it really does take a village to create the perfect red carpet look.

Naomie Harris, who was nominated in the best supporting actress category for her role in Moonlight, shared a series of pics detailing her intense preparations, staring with an all important facial on Sunday morning.
The actress, who wore a stunning white Calvin Klein By Appointment strapless sequinned dress to the ceremony, also showed herself enjoying some lunch while her hair stylist and makeup artist worked their magic.
Naoime’s fellow best supporting actress nominee Octavia Spencer looked to be taking things easy before the red carpet madness, sharing a video of herself running a bath with a cup of coffee.
#redcarpetready means de-stressing with my cup of americano coffee and a bubble bath,” the Hidden Figures star captioned the pic.
Also indulging in a bath was Empire actress Taraji P. Henson who shared a similar video of her hotel room tub being filled, writing, ‘Woooooosaaaaaaahhhhhh the calm before the CraCra!!!’
For Jessica Biel, whose husband Justin Timberlake was nominated in the best original song category, taking it easy wasn’t an option. The 34-year-old shared a video on Sunday morning showing her sweating in the gym, because “the need for after party pizza is REAL”
It was a big night for Emma Stone, who picked up the best actress gong for her role in musical La La Land. But before she walked the red carpet, her makeup artist Rachel Goodwin shared a snap of herself applying Nars’ Audacious Lipstick in shade Mona to the actress, creating the perfect brick lip.
But it was model Heidi Klum who gave fan the best insight into the getting ready process, when she shared an amazing time lapse video which showed her going from make-up free to red carpet glam in just seconds.
