Claudia Schiffer has said that models are too thin.
The 36 year old supermodel, who was one of the most successful supermodels of the nineties said that today’s models are even thinner.
She said:” Models have always been thin. But today, they are even thinner, which is unbelievable. I was one of the fattest when I started.”
The mother of two also told vogue online that it was only when she had children that she could wear what she liked.
She said:” Ever since I started having children, I can eat whatever I want. I eat chocolate almost every day and drink whole milk so that I don't lose any more [weight]. When media started writing that I looked too thin and ill, I went to the doctor.”
She did concede that clothes can look good on thinner models but is concerned about today’s catwalk models. “ Fashion looks good on thin models, but when you look at today's models you cannot help but think there is some thing wrong."
