Single ‘Cupid’s Chokehold Out February 12th UK TOUR FEBRUARY 2007Gym Class Heroes are releasing the single ‘Cupid’s Chokehold’ through Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen in the UK on February 12th to coincide with a full UK headline tour. The song is lifted from the new version of their album ‘As Cruel As School Children’, which hit the shops in January. A special limited edition heart shaped 7” vinyl will be available in March.Rightly recognized as true pioneers of live hip-hop, the Geneva, NY-based band Gym Class Heroes has won popular and critical acclaim for kicking out genre-busting jams that seamlessly meld rap, rock, R&B, and anything else that happens to strike the musically voracious outfit’s fancy. Frontman Travis McCoy states “The whole fun element of hip-hop has disappeared. Everybody takes themselves so seriously, it’s become a fashion show more or less. We want the vibe to be as fun as possible.” Cupid’s Chokehold was initially featured on Gym Class Heroes’ Papercut Chronicles EP, and features Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy. Gym Class Heroes have spent much of the last two years doing what they do best – playing live.
