UK Fashion: Hippy Chic
Designers took inspiration from Woodstock and the peace and love vibe of the 1960’s for another key trend for spring summer.
The look is very feminine with pretty peasant style skirts and dresses accessorized with crosses, beads and huge necklaces.

Both Michael Kors and Jean Paul Gaultier had models in 1960’s hats and scarves to complete the look.
There were billowing unstructured skirts and tops from Marc Jacobs for a casual dressed down look finished with bright yellow sandals.
Colours were vibrant combinations of red, green and blue as well as classic white.
John Galliano’s designs for Christian Dior summed up the trend with an acid pink tee-shirt printed with a tongue in cheek slogan “Dior for Peace.’

... the hippy style is from the 70's not the 60's........
