Bono's new ethical Fashion range

U2 lead singer Bono was in New York recently to promote a new ethical fashion range.
The rock star was at the launch of fashion brand Edun that was designed by his wife Ali Hewson and designer Rogan Gregory.
The aim of the Edun is to have wearable clothing, which adhere to ethical guidelines and to provide employment, fair working conditions in developing countries.
Production for the current range and the new autumn collections are in factories based in Africa, Lima, Peru and Tunisia.
At the launch Bono said ”This is the fashion equivalent of mothers looking at the back of a can to see what exactly she is going to feed the kids”
The collection includes a range of tee shirts, trousers and casual lines for men and women
And are currently available nationwide at SAKS department stores in the US.
The singer plays a part in selecting areas for production where local talents and resources are utilised.
Bono and his wife Ali live in Dublin with their five children and the singer currently campaigns for abolishing third world debt.
