A new survey has illustrated that paired up people are have a greater number of arguements because females are now the significant earners.

Findings amongst 1,200 adults revealed that many ladies are unhappy with the fact that their lover does not bring home more dosh. Women now collect a larger wage packet than blokes in a fifth of unions, Skipton Building Society discovered.

Jennifer Holloway of the Society is quoted in the Mirror as saying:"For a long time, earning and managing money was a male concern, but as more and more women become the main breadwinner, there's a need to ensure they're as financially savvy as possible."

Christine Northam, from Relate, also added to the newspaper: "Now that women's earning power has changed, deeply-held beliefs about male-female roles and financial responsibility, which could be wholly outdated, can cause anger and resentment.

"Couples should try different ways to manage their outgoings... and being open and honest about money from the beginning is a good place to start."
