Tony Blair was left looking a little red faced yesterday, as he was forced to evacuate his hotel in the middle of the night due to a fire alarm.
The former PM was left stranded in his PJ's in the street at The Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle.
At least he can take comfort in the knowledge that he wasn't the only celeb in his PJ's. Opera Sensation Katherine Jenkins and Gethin Jones were also at the same hotel, as Gethin was due to compete in the Great North Run the next day.
Katherine revealed: "It was a bit embarrassing as we all had to dash out and gather in the car-park in our pyjamas. Tony Blair and Nell Mcandrew were there too. It was very funny. Apparently it was the second year it has happened too."
Despite the embarrassing circumstances, Katherine has revealed that her relationship with Blue Peter hunk Gethin is developing nicely. So much so in fact, that she plans to fly home every weekend from the U.S. when she is recording her new album.
