Alexandra Burke has been "training" to wear heels since she was 14.
The 'Elephant' singer admits she's obsessed with skyscraper shoes and even wears them to perform in because they give her more of a star presence.
She said: "I've been training in heels since the age of 14 as my sister once said to me, 'If you really want to be a super star like Beyonce, then you're going to have to be able to dance in heels. When I put heels on and I go on stage it completely changes everything about me and I turn into that...that beast, and it really is because of a heel. I won't go on stage without a heel on."
However, the 23-year-old star - who shot to fame after winning the UK edition of 'The X Factor' in 2008 - says there have been some near disasters and is starting to vary her type of footwear.
Speaking to shoe website www.javari.co.uk, Alexandra said: "This one time I was performing with JLS on 'X Factor', walking to the stage and as soon as I got to the stage my heel snaps, live tv.
"I'm starting to train myself to wear pumps, or trainers, as I usually always wear a heel."
