Anna Wintour is reportedly in the running to become Obama's ambassador to England or France.
These "extremely insider rumours" that were picked up by Fashion Week Daily could prove to have some substance to them, as her appointment could well help America build bridges with the Europeans.
If the rumours are to be believed, then this could be her perfect exit strategy from Vogue, if she is as reports have implied, to retire soon.
Although she may not seem like the most obvious choice, it's undeniable that this lady has huge standing in the world of fashion, with her name known throughout the globe.
Plus she was an active supporter of Obama's campaign, throwing fundraisers for him and encouraging her big name friends to get involved.
Meanwhile according to CityFile, Ms Wintour's dulcet tones may soon be available as a ringtone that offers fashion advice to the owner too.
What an in-demand lady she is!
