Anna Wintour forgot Adele after styling her.

Adele had to persuade the US style bible's legendary editor - who dressed her for the Grammy Awards in February - they had met before when she bumped into her after the prestigious music event.

She told BANG Showbiz: "I love Anna Wintour and she dressed me, but then I saw her again and I was really drunk and I was trying to make her remember me and she didn't really. Well, she did after a while. I was like, 'Remember, come on!'

But then I made her laugh so it was all good

"But she saw me and she was like, 'Who?' and I was like, 'Oh, you!' But she's lovely."

Adele was highly praised for the outfit she wore to the ceremony, which comprised an A-line black dress and a pea green, knee-length coat.

The 21-year-old singer - who won the Best New Artist and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance prizes - also appeared on the cover of the fashion magazine's April edition, describing the experience as "a bit weird, and a bit daunting".

Earlier this year, Adele revealed she hadn't heard of Anna before she was summoned to her meet her.

She said: "I was in their offices for a fitting, and they were like, 'Anna wants to meet you.' I was like, 'Who's Anna?' And they were like, 'Um... the editor.' She was really quiet and I don't think she liked me at first. But then I made her laugh so it was all good."
