Burberry has revealed that it will take more than four years to recoup their losses from the Treorchy factory closure.
The British fashion house was embroiled in controversy for its decision to close the Welsh factory at the cost of 300 jobs.
At the time, Burberry insisted that keeping the factory was not finically viable and insisted they needed to shift production overseas.
However the Guardian reported that that the annual cost savings generated by the move to will be just £1.5 million a year. The paper reported that this works out at less than one per cent of the companys operating profits.
Despite a high profile campaign which involved the Prince of Wales, Charlotte Church and actor Ioan Gruffudd the company closed the factory last month.
