Dannii Minogue thinks "more can be better" when it comes to swimwear.
The Australian singer - who also owns fashion line Project D alongside designer Tabitha Somerset Webb - thinks it is better for women to cover up than show it all off when they go to the beach, for confidence and skin safety.
Writing in UK's Glamour magazine, she said: "When it comes to swimwear (and all wear if we're honest) more can be better. A glimpse of skin and a hint of décolletage can be so much sexier than squeezing into a two-sizes-too-small bikini, not to mention sun smart.
"A kaftan or summery maxi dress is a girl's best beach buddy enabling you to move effortlessly from poolside to pool bar."
However, Dannii - whose designs have been worn by Pippa Middleton and Elizabeth Hurley - is also a fan of a tankini because it is modest without being restrictive.
She added: "A tankini - a two-piece with a top that covers your tummy - is a great alternative to the traditional bikini, providing the modesty of a one-piece without the restrictiveness you sometimes feel with swimsuits."
