Donatella Versace thinks flamboyant designs are "old-fashioned".
The Italian designer - whose Versace brand is known for its extravagant, glitzy clothes - has worked hard to create a new aesthetic for Versace, and thinks simple, clean designs with a hint of sexiness are the way forward.
She explained: "My eye has changed. Ostentation looks old-fashioned now. On a red carpet, you can be historic, but the woman of today doesn't even want to check in her baggage."

The change in Donatella's style has also impacted on her home, a Milan apartment she retreats to when she wants time away from her fashion-fuelled life.
She loves relaxing in the lavish property, which is decorated with bright colours - including turquoise, pink and orange - and luxury fabrics.
She explained to Britain's InStyle magazine: "Fashion shows are public, my life is public. Here, I close the door and no-one can come in. It's my treasure box. I wanted colours so rich that they would almost hide me.
"In the evening, I want to sink into a couch so deep that I forget anything that got to me during the day."
