Christian Dior has spilt with their creative director Hedi Slimane.
The designers departure from the French fashion house has shocked many in the fashion industry.
Slimanes sharp tailoring and designs for Dior Homme have made him a hit amongst the fashion pack and A List celebrities.
Rumours have been circulating for some time that he felt it was time to make a major change and leave the company.
He told vogue: I had already set up the principles that could continue to be there for Dior Homme. As for my own style and aesthetic, I decided it was time to separate the two.
He added: It has been said that proposal came to me to start a new house under my name if I stayed at Dior. I tried to make things work for about a year.
However, I had the feeling it was not the right project for me.
