Erin Wasson's next clothing line is inspired by her dog.
The model - who has been the face of Maybelline cosmetics since 2002 - chose the colours for her latest collection for surf label RVCA after spending time with her beloved pet reflecting on life.
She explained: "This season, my colour palette is based on my dog. I have a pit bull named Cream, and there's something about the monochromatics of the pink around his nose and his coat. That's kind of where I started with the colour thing.
She told Britain's Sunday Times Style magazine: I think people ponder a lot of ideas at sunset
"And going back to the whole idea of being on this personal journey, my life, and making so many changes in me, and figuring out where I'm at and where I want to be."
In addition to her pet, Erin also sought inspiration from the skyline and says she came up with her best ideas in the evening.
She told Britain's Sunday Times Style magazine: "I think people ponder a lot of ideas at sunset. It's like the end of the day, when you sort of reflect on the moments you had. It's the end of something and then, you know, sunrise is the beginning of something."
