Skateboarder fashion label Etnies are showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by launching a special edition t-shirt and pair of sandals.
Etnies Girl has joined forces with Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) to launch the tee and sandal which will be on sale throughout October to mark National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Both products feature an upbeat, Las Vegas-themed design that encourages girls to enjoy and celebrate life and to always remember that life is not a gamble. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of each item will be donated to B4BC to help fund breast cancer awareness and educational programs.
As a girls brand we applaud and support what B4BC has done to educate todays action sports girl, said Julie Shumaker, etnies Girl brand marketing manager. By helping to educate young women on the importance of early detection and the value of maintaining an active lifestyle, we strongly believe that our partnership with B4BC will help save lives.
Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) is a nonprofit, youth-focused education, awareness and fundraising foundation inspired by Monica Steward, who started her battle with breast cancer at the age of 26. The scheme is designed to increase awareness about breast cancer, the importance of early detection and the value of an active lifestyle.
B4BC is thrilled to continue our ongoing partnership with etnies Girl for fall, said Justine Chiara, Executive Director of B4BC.
By collaborating with an all-girl action-sports lifestyle brand, it provides us with an exceptional platform to reach a targeted group of active young women, so we can continue to increase awareness by spreading our message of early detection + active lifestyle = best prevention.
The t-shirt costs £10 and is available in selected stores, from CCS.com and etniesgirl.com
