Police fear 'Fashion rapist' stalking A-listers.
Fashion news from Australia has a Sydney man charged with the alleged rape of a high-profile fashion designer, and police reveal the unnamed accused man may have been stalking other young women at A-list events.
The accused a 30-year-old Bondi man allegedly targeted his victims, including a 25-year-old woman and a 30-year-old fashion designer, in nightclub toilets, according to the Sunday Telegraph.
Police have since set up special task force to investigate the attacks as more women have made complaints to police claiming they had been stalked and harassed by the man.
"This is a man who moves in elite social circles and who (allegedly) likes to prey on women who go to clubs with a selective door policy," senior police sources told the newspaper. Adding "He runs with the in-crowd, the cool crowd."
The accused man has been labelled a "party boy" whose friends include models, hairdressers, fashion designers and PR executives.
Court documents relating to the fashion designer incident say the man followed the woman into the toilet, pushed her against the wall and tried to kiss and touch her. A male friend who witnessed the aftermath of the alleged attack has given a statement to police.
The accused was charged again last Monday over the alleged sexual assault of a 25-year-old woman in the toilet at the Piano Room in Sydney's east on October 18 and remanded in custody to appear in court 14th January 2010
He has been refused bail but his legal reresentaive is fighting to have him released in time for New Year's Eve.
