The forthcoming James Bond aftershave is inspired by the 60s.
The scent - entitled James Bond 007 - is being released in September ahead of the 23rd movie in the British spy franchise, 'Skyfall', and in addition to notes of apple and sandalwood, it will have a retro feel.
Bill Brace, vice president of fashion brands for P&G Prestige, which is housing the fragrance, said: "The aromatic feugere fragrance family came to prominence in the 60s - it was unmistakably masculine - mossy and ferny.
"But that was a while ago, so we wanted to move it on and give it a much more modern and sophisticated shell, which is why there's fresh apple, cardamom, sandalwood and vetiver."
Although currently marketed for men, a women's perfume may also be in the works.
Keith Snelgrove, global business director at Eon, told WWD.com: "As a licensor, our hope would be to continue to evolve the fragrances. We are looking at the brand from a long-term perspective, and we're looking forward to a long-term mutual partnership with P&G."
The 23rd movie sees Daniel Craig reprise his role as the British spy for the third time.
