Jimmy Choo is set to release a fragrance.

The legendary shoe company has signed a 12-year deal with Inter Pafrums SA, which already has fragrance licenses with Burberry, Lanvin and Paul Smith.

Jimmy Choo founder and president Tamara Mellon said: "It has always been my vision to fully accessorise the woman, and fragrance is an integral part of the modern wardrobe. I look forward to bringing this important aspect of my vision to life."

The deal was finalised this week and starts next January.

Details of when the first scent will be made available have not been released.

It states that the French company will create, develop and make available Jimmy Choo perfumes.

This is not the first attempt at branching out the luxury footwear brand has made recently.

In June, it was announced Jimmy Choo was created a range of footwear and bags for high street chain H+M.

Tamara said at the time: "Jimmy Choo will bring to H+M a sophisticated, fashion forward, accessible and glamorous collection - the perfect party pieces to buy now and then wear out that night!"
