Katherine Hamnett didnt hold back when she gave her views on the fashion industry recently.
The legendary designer was less than complimentary when she described the industry as: "full of personality disorders, airheads, and dickheads. I worked in Italy for about 30 years and never met anybody who'd read a book."
She added:" People like Naomi Campbell saying they'd never wear fur and they get offered £2,000 to walk down the catwalk and it all goes out of the window."
Hamnett also told the Observer that she has no plans to retire but her ambitions are now way beyond clothes.
"'I want to build a concentrated solar-powered, low-tech power station in Africa - I'm very excited about that."
"Reforesting the desert is another plan that I think is now possible with concentrated solar power."
