Lily Cole proves she's not just a pretty face and plans to start a degree course at Cambridge University next year.
The model has been taking a time out after she gained straight A grades in her A Levels last year but is due to take up a place on a Social and Political Sciences in 2008.
Lily, who stars in the new film adaptation of the St Trinian's stories later this year, says her attendance at scholl wasn't always good.
"I missed about 50 per cent of my classes," she told contact music. "But I was always the first to hand in my work because I knew if I was late the teachers would come down on me like a ton of bricks. Modelling is great, but studies came first."
Despite this Lily is still perhaps Britain's brainiest model beating Kate Moss in the schooling stakes according to Press Association, Kate only reached GCSE level and her best grade was a C in Science.
Lily was first spotted in 2003 on the streets of Soho by scout-turned actor Benjamin Hart and since then she has appeared on the cover of Vogue, been seen on just about every runway and has appeared in advertising campaigns for designers such as Chanel, Christian Lacroix, Hermès, Longchamp, Cacharel, Topshop, and Anna Sui Cosmetics, as well as being the face for Moschino's perfume 'I Love Love.'
