Lily Donaldson Fronts Burberry Campaign

British model, Lily Donaldson is to front Christopher Bailey's Burberry Prorsum SS09 advertising campaign, Vogue reports.

The all British cast will be shot by Mario Testino in a greenhouse in Richmond-Upon-Thames. The shoot is in keeping with Bailey's 'flower pot girls' that he sent down the catwalk.

Bailey explained: "This campaign reflects the true heritage of Burberry outerwear, the iconic check and our British attitude."

"I wanted the mood to be gentle, relaxed, romantic and about a quiet beautiful sense of luxury. Shot in a garden in England on a group of eclectic great Brits, this campaign highlights the spirit of our wonderfully crumpled classics."

The photos move away from the moody black and white shots used for the AW08 campaign, using lots of colour.

Lily and other models, Eden Clarke, Alexina Graham and Richard Wyndham are joined by some of the UK's up and coming names in the shape of photographer Emily Hope, actor Alex Pettyfer and musicians George Craig and Sam Beeton.

The campaign makes it's debut in January.
