Stars Walk the Runway for Heart Disease Awareness

Stars including Gloria Estefan, Jennifer Nettles and Linda Evans took to the catwalk in New York on Wednesday (08Feb12) to raise awareness of heart disease.

Minka Kelly, Jenna Elfman and Christie Brinkley also strutted their stuff in the Red Dress show for The Heart Truth campaign, and Estefan admits it's a cause close to her.

She says, "My grandfather died in front of me of a massive heart attackwhen I was 12, and he had five before that so I know what that's like".

The catwalk show was held in association with Million Hearts, a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services initiative to try to prevent one million heart attacks and strokes by 2017, according to Reuters.
