Mary Kate Olsen Reveals Unfashionable Past

Mary Kate Olsen has revealed that she never used to be very fashionable.

The news may come as a shock to most as she, along with sister Ashley are now a force to be reckoned with in the fashion world, with two successful fashion ranges to their name.

Mary Kate revealed in Interview magazine this week that she never used to read fashion magazines and only really developed her own sense of style, when she was able to stop dressing like her sister.

She said: "Until we were 13 or 14, if my sister and I did an appearance we would be wearing the same outfit. It would be the same dress and we'd fight over who would wear it in red and who would wear it in black."

"I remember the first time we were really able to choose our own clothes for an event was at the Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle premiere."

"I chose to wear this Zandra Rhodes dress - now I've collected a lot of her pieces - and I put a diamond butterfly brooch in my hair. You know, that's still one of my top favourite looks," she added.
