Matthew Williamson launches Bridal Wear

Matthew Williamson is launching a bridal collection next year.

The Manchester born designers plans to expand on from his mainline of evening wear and cater for the brides to be.

This will be a bit of an adjustment from his usual colourful collection which follows a rule to include one bright pink dress.

He told Elle UK: “I wanted to create a bridal collection that is both a natural extension of the mainline evening wear, but at the same time reflects the opulence of such an important celebratory event. The pieces are characterised by feminine, diaphanous silhouettes in richly embellished luxurious fabrics.”

Williamson's diffusion line also launches next year.
