Fashion's New Year Honour awardees

The fashion industry has once again been noted in the Queen's New Year Honours List.

Lulu Kennedy, founder of the Fashion East initiative, received an MBE for her services to the fashion industry.

Her London Fashion Week project helps emerging designers come through the early stages of their career and she's worked with the likes of Gareth Pugh, Richard Nicoll, Holly Fulton and Roksanda Ilincic.

Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki has also been honoured with an OBE. Herself and her husband found the iconic London store in 1964 and became the epitomy of London cool, with its famous clientele, including Yoko Ono and Brigitte Bardot. The designer has also produced collections for Topshop and George at ASDA.

Jewellery founders John and Annoushka Ayton, the couple behind Links of London were awarded MBEs too.

Shoe designer Emma Hope and Christopher Inman, the British Fashion Council's Honorary Treasurer, each received an OBE for services to the Fashion Industry.
