Princess Di dress auctioned for $800,000

The stunning Victor Edelstein dress Princess Diana wore when she took to the dancefloor with John Travolta, was auctioned last week.

The iconic, floor-length, off the shoulder gown was the talk of the White House back in 1985 during a visit to the States.

The Princess and John Travolta were photographed taking a spin on the dancefloor and the same dress made $800,000 at an auction in Toronto.

No details about who the lucky owner is have been released.
