Sir Phillip Green is planning to expand his U.S. Topshop empire, according to new reports.

Apparently he's intent on having three Topshop's in Manhattan, and has begun hunting for two more retail spaces to hold them.

According to The Observer, Green has been personally hunting out some locations in high-traffic areas, such as Fifth Avenue, Lexington near Bloomingdale's and Times Square.

Although the initial response to Topshop in the U.S. was positive, it's now reportedly not being received as well, with the Observer noting:

"[I]f Topshop really wants to take on H&M, might we suggest lowering the prices? More than $100 for a simple blue blazer? Really?" Oh dear.

Despite the apparent fading enthusiasm for the Soho store, celeb endorsers are still continuing to champion their designs, with Mary Kate Olsen being papped in three key items from the brand in one week. Now that's commitment!
