Sofia Vergara loves being Latin.

The dark-haired beauty admits she plays on her Columbian heritage to portray the role of Gloria in TV show 'Modern Family' and is proud of wear she comes from.

She said: "I'm Colombian, she's Colombian. She's loud. I'm definitely loud. She's crazy, and, well, my son refers to me as 'that crazy woman who lives with me.' "

Discussing her striking looks, she said: "It's bizarre but I have to darken my hair to look more Latin."

The 37-year-old actress also admitted to being a fan of great smiles.

She told parade.com: "I love great teeth. A smile tells you everything about a person."

As well as discussing her stunning appearance, Sofia also revealed she doesn't take life too seriously.

She added: "I've been through it all so I don't take life's little dramas too seriously.

"I say, don't sweat the small stuff, because there's bigger stuff that can really make you sweat."
