As we know, Tweed is not longer the sole domain of the average blue haired Gran, it looks like its going to be everywhere this winter

Not only is the fabric a great texture to spice up your wardrobe, but it has the added bonus of being a cozy fabric to keep you snug on the colder days

If the thought of wearing Tweed fills you with dread and you can only imagine yourself looking like a mum on the way to parents evening wearing the stuff, Don't worry. Tweed is still uniquely British, but has been given a huge update by todays top fashion designers

Theres something very prim and proper about wearing tweed. Indeed, the Queen could be a vogue cover girl in her tweed two piece with matching corgi jacket and of course, every girl can imagine herself as a princess, but if you want to avoid looking like great grandma, there are certain ways of wearing Tweed which must be avoided

Unless you're a fashion Guru and people flock to admire what you'll be wearing next, stick to only one piece or tweed at a time. Girly knee length skirts are the order of the day.
If you couldn't possibly look like you're trying to pull off a low budget Channel look, Pencil skirts, Short jackets, Fur trim and leather gloves are all fine, but if theres any way it might be mistaken, say NO

By far the best way to wear tweed this season is to dress it up. Silk and satin do a wonderful job of making any outfit look Glam and Tweed is no exception. Go for either a crisp white, cream or a stunning bright shade to stand out.
