Designer duo Mark Badgley and James Mischka are desperate to dress Uma Thurman because she has an "old Hollywood glamour".

The designer duo admit they have been fortunate to work with some of the biggest stars in the world but would love to team up with the 'Kill Bill' actress because she's got old-school glamour.

Mark said: "We've been doing this for a long time, but we've never dressed her. She has that old Hollywood glamour thing to her. We would like to get to her some day."

However, the pair - who impressed with their New York Fashion Week show earlier this week - say they never set out to work with A-list stars but now love seeing their dresses on the red carpet.

Mark added to People: "When we started, that whole red carpet thing hadn't begun yet. But now it's snowballed, and it's fun. There's nothing that's more of an honour than when you see one of your dresses marching down the red carpet, especially when you know the history behind it: what it took to get it through the sewing machine, how it was conceived from the initial sketch."
