With the release of the Vanity Fair most stylish lists being released, we thought we'd take a look at some of the men that made the list and what it is about them that give them that edge.
You may think that if you do not have the youth of Christopher Bailey (Chief Creative Officer for Burberry) or the acting talents of Johnny Depp or Colin Firth then you're incapable of having the stylish atributes that ladies love.
Though there are a range in styles, ages and personalities on the Vanity Fair Most Stylish list, there is a common factor that keeps on cropping up: Men wearing suits.
It was be untrue to suggest that looks are not an important factor in deciding this very exclusive list that sees names such as former F1 champion Jenson Button, Justin Timberlake and Barack Obama on it. A key factor is style and there is nothing to stop you from being just as desireable as these men if looking your best is important to you.
It's unusal not to see Colin Firth in his trademark tux, after all he has spent the most of the year on stage collecting awards for his film performances, but this is a good look that works across the board.
Going for the open collar look can be as casual or formal as you like, just pick your colours carefully. The lighter you go the more casual it looks. If you're thinking of the office or a formal night out, then stick to greys and blacks - it keeps the look professional, but gives the ladies a peak at what they're missing!
We can't all race formula 1 cars for a living, but growing some perfect stubble is not entirely out of the question. Jenson Button is an example of how to make any style look a little more edgy and handsome with the help of some well groomed facial hair.
The Topman suit to the right is one to take on your hols or if you're looking to make that statement open collar look to attract some female attention. We recommend nothing othe than a good aftershave an designer watch to compliment this look.
There is no denying that Barack Obama is an incredibly stylish man. Many men would kill for that power and unless you can add some much needed confidence and dominance into this look (with just the right amount of Beyonce loving, cool-ness) then we'd set our sights a little lower down the list if we were you. It also helps to be President of the United States!
Not only is style important, but having an understanding of the fashion world cannot hurt in your endeavours to be stylish. Fashion photographer Mario Testino has spent enough time behind the ca
mera to know what looks good infront of it. Even so, Testino is a fan of the scarf to warm up his looks.
As we approach the cooler weather it surely won't be that hard to find a stylish scarf to finish off any casual or formal look.
It's no wonder that after all his years in showbiz that Justin Timberlake is still getting noticed for his trend setting ways.
You cannot go wrong with glasses, a hat and that youthful preppy look if you're trying to copy Mr Trousersnake.
Nobody does geek chic like Justin and not only is he a favourite with the ladies, he is a reminder that men and their style has the potential to only get better with age.
