Wayne Rooney spent £18,000 on a shopping spree last weekend in Manchester.

The 18 year old Manchester United and England Football star managed to spend the entire amount in the same length of time as a football match in just 90 minutes.

Rooney was believed to have bought suits from Armani, Prada jeans, and Gucci tops as well as jumpers, leather jackets and tee shirts.

He is believed to be a fan of designer labels and buys all his clothes to last the entire season ahead.

The footballer arrived at the shop in a dress down tracksuit bottoms and tee shirt with trainers and had to have a minder to help with all his latest purchases.

Maybe he was trying to rival fiancée Coleen in the shopping stakes but the couple both love to splash out on trendy designer’s clothes and accessories.
