The 32-year-old model has teamed up with the British high street retailer to create Archive by Alexa, a womenswear range inspired by previous garments created by the brand.

She told Vogue.co.uk: "It was so fun to be given the keys to the Marks & Spencer archive and such a treat to get to cherry pick the very best of their vast collection of pieces.

"I pulled from stored garments, in-house magazines and TV adverts from various points in the history of Marks & Spencer to create the collection that I believe looks every bit as relevant today as it did then."

The new 31-piece womenswear range will include "modern fabrications and an updated colour palette [but have] a heritage sensibility," according to the retailer.

Of the collection, Alexa added: "I have always had an affection for Marks & Spencer. I am thrilled to be part of this special and unique project.

"There was something very touching about looking back through the British fashion and social history for which M&S is synonymous."

'Archive by Alexa' will be released in April.
